NEW BEGINNING. REBIRTH. FREEDOM

PHOENIX

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes

According to legend, the legendary phoenix, often depicted as a heron, comes from the ancient city of Heliopolis in Egypt. Here the firebird was called "Benu", was strongly associated with the sun god Ra and was worshiped as a symbol of the rising sun. Its golden to red plumage with its crown of feathers underlined this comparison.

Rarely visible

But the bird was rarely seen. When he returned from his excursions, he settled in the temple of the sun god, where he wove a nest of myrrh. At sunrise the phoenix burned up in the fire of dawn, only to fly away rejuvenated from the ashes.

Phoenix Rückkehr

According to one of the Greeks, Phoenix returns to his native land of Heliopolis in Egypt every 500 years on the anniversary of his father's death. Here the bird forms an egg from incense, which it buries in the temple of Heliopolis.

Die Wiedergeburt

The phoenix begins life as a simple bird and only transforms into a higher being when it is reborn from its ashes.

“And as long as you don’t have this, this dying and becoming, you are just a dull guest on the dark earth.”
