Cupid, the personified power of love

The name "Amor" comes from Latin and means love, desire, or affection. In Greek mythology, it corresponds to Eros. Cupid is not a romantic figure in the modern sense, but rather the personified power of desire, which affects gods and humans alike.

He is considered the son of Venus and acts as an independent primal force, older than order, morality, or reason. Although Cupid belongs to the pantheon of gods, he exists outside of fixed hierarchies, as even the Olympian gods cannot control his power. His arrows symbolize love as the catalyst for transformation, loss, and self-discovery.
